About The Poster: This poster, printed by the Wetterwald Brothers in Bordeaux for the Bouille G. Marques company, describes and illustrates the values and virtues of chemical products (pesticides, etc). for agriculture. Useful against mildou (which we have to assume is ‘mildew’ en francais) and black rot (which the nameless poster artist didn’t even try to translate), the happy sower and the plentiful crops in the poster certainly suggest that if one uses the product it will be to their great advantage.
