About The Poster: Nothing beats a great pair of legs. Decades before those words became a catch phrase for a brand of nylons, rutz showed that it was much more than a slogan - it was the truth, plain and simple, at least where eichhorn stockings were concerned. In celebrating 100 years of quality hosiery, Rutz presents the public with what practically every woman wants to look like and what every man wants to at the very least ogle - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Rutz (also known as victor ruzo) turned to graphic art after starting out as a fashion and retail illustrator in zurich. He did the bulk of his work - 200 odd posters that earned prizes europe-wide, in the early 1940s. In 1946 he moved to vevey and began concentrating on painting: since 1960 he has lived in Montreux.
