About The Poster: A booklet of music sheets done in 1942 and featuring a totally Fascist cover design - very much in keeping with the design ideals of Il Duce, Benito Mussolini.  This is a 19 page songbook featuring such rousing classics as La Lunga Strada (The Long Street), Camicia Nera (The Black Shirt), and Bambina Bella (I don't think we need to translate that one!)  There is some minor foxing and the cover page is separated from the rest of the book, but overall very good condition.  

Fascist art like this is considered very collectable in Italy - not because it is Fascist, but because it recalls a period in Italian history where art and design were as regimented as the politics and war of the country. In that sense, this is a special and unusual piece. Striking in its simplicity, we think it would look stupendous framed. Even Mussolini would approve!
