The Champagne house De Castellane was founded in Epernay, in the heart of the Champagne region by the Viscount Florens de Castellane in 1895. The Viscount adopted the Cross of Saint Andrews, the emblem of his brand, as a tribute to the oldest regiment of Champagne. Very quickly the Champagne de Castellane became the Champagne of the Gay Paris of the Belle Epoque and is still considered a premium brand as of today. This poster is in excellent condition and measures 18"x23.5" (framed 19.25"x25").

Raymond Savignac, often just abbreviated to "Savignac", was a French graphic artist famous for his commercial posters. He was born on November 6, 1907 in Paris, and died on October 31, 2002 in Trouville-sur-mer, aged 94. His work is distinguished by a humorous simplicity. Self-taugh, he started designing porsters under Cassandre. A permanent display of his work can be found in the Montebello Museum in Trouville.
