About The Poster: This maquette was recently purchased in Italy from a collector who is as crazy about old posters and maquettes as I am. I don't know if this poster was ever produced - it appears to have been the cover of a calendar for the year 1953 (the maquette itself is covered with a white tissue paper upon which the artist, or the client, has written notes about changing the color and the font). The piece is signed Vegni... The colors are vibrant and pop and the little fellow who are carrying all anner of yummy looking food can certainly bear testament to the fact that Paolo Berio olive oil makes EVERYTHING taste better. The text on the maquette reads: Paolo Berio wishes you a hearty appetite for the entire year of 1953.
