About the Poster: A fabulous and wonderfully graphic poster by R. Hetreau measuring roughly 24x 36 inches advertising a French tourism event in Montreal, held in September 1954.
The relationship between France and French-speaking Quebec is long, involved, and continues to this day. Quebec was originally called "New France" by its French settlers, and many French Canadian families can trace their lineage back to their ancestors in France. Politics aside, this poster is evidence of the importance placed by both countries on their mutually beneficial relationship. Poster is available in two sizes - this is the larger size is 24 x 36, smaller one measures 15 x 20 inches. Poster is unlined and in very good condition with a small tear mid-center bottom edge which will disappear when the poster is either linen backed or framed.
