About The Poster:

ARTIST: Jean D’Ylen "After several years as a designer of jewelry, d'Ylen became a full-time posterist in 1919 and signed an exclusive contract with Vercasson in 1922. He may have owed the job offer to the fact that he was a sincere admirer and disciple of Cappiello, was was the previous star of the Vercasson shop, and this the firm was assured of an uninterrupted flow of designs of unbridled exuberance that had been Cappiello's trademark." I havent been able to find a record of this particular poster in any poster book or guide - nor in the listings of most major poster dealers... I'm not clear what MIK was, but it is safe to assume that it was some kind of beverage that one could drink at any time of the day or night (Matin, Midi, Soir - Morning, Noon or Evening). Signed by d'Ylen, printed by Vercasson, the poster is in excellent condition, is linen-backed and measures 23.5 x 15.5 inches.
