Floreffe

From what I can tell (I love Internet research!), the Floreffe was/is a kind of 1970's fringe festival which took place in Belgium. (It appears to still take place every June). Even though there was some affiliation with the French ministry of culture, it looks to me like a pretty exotic group of performers: a drag queen wrestler (or maybe just a hairy woman in bikini bottoms), a clown with big shoes and a bigger horn, a couple of misplaced ballerinas... Posters almost always make me smile, and this one is no exception: it is full of humor, irony, and no small amount of affection. This poster was in the private collection of a noted jazz musician and producer and is only one of hundreds which we have just received. 
The poster measures 17 x 24 inches, is framed to show off its colors magnificently and is in excellent condition.
