About The Poster: I love posters that are able to give us (quite literally) an illustration of what life was like in earlier times. This simple, but simply perfect, Peugeot poster is a new favourite because it brings to mind a cyclist on a country road, heading for the hills or just out for a relaxing day on his bike.
This particular poster was made for Peugeot (now a French car manufacturer, but initially a manufacturer of coffee mills and bicycles). The company first began to produce bicycles in 1882 (with ten Tour de France wins between 1903 and 1983). A century later, they sold the North American rights to the Peugeot bicycle name to ProCycle, a Canadian company which also sold bicycles under the CCM and Velo Sport names.
In lovely condition, recently linen-backed and ready to be framed. A perfect gift for a cyclist!
