About The Poster: Produced in 1911 for an operetta in three acts, this is one of our favorite comic posters: by her body language (not to mention her body!) the woman is clearly egging on her plaid-covered male companion. Divorcees were thought to be rather risque at the turn of the last century, but the artist seems to wink at convention with the composition and attitude of the poster.
