About The Poster: Probably produced between 1900 and 1905 this poster is linen-backed, in excellent condition, measures 31.5 x 45. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL, NON REPRODUCTION PERIOD POSTER (one of the ways in which we can tell that of this particular poster is the use of the tax stamp - see photo. Tax stamps were used to show that the appropriate taxes were paid when a poster was to be 'posted'). A proven success on the Parisian theatrical scene, Rejane takes her act on the road in this touring production, promoted not only with a lovely poster portrait, but in a set of cameo cards that show-off a few of her characters that audiences could look forward to seeing. Eugene Oge started his career as an assistant lithographic draughtsman in the Charles Verneau printing plant, and after several years of anaymous work he earned the right to sign his name to his art and went on to a long career as a successful commercial artist.
