We found Steve Thomas in cyberspace - a place he evidently knows very well - and loved his posters so much that we asked him if we could sell them, and, voila!
Steve's bio: "Born and raised in southern Ontario, I went to school in the U.S. and started working in graphics at a newspaper in Pittsburgh. I met my wife there (a fellow Canadian) and moved to the Twin Cities of Minnesota. I worked for another newspaper there creating graphics and illustration before moving to the online publication. I've been lucky enough since then to strike out on my own as a freelance illustrator. I'm constantly trying to come up with new and interesting ideas for illustrations. My love for the vintage poster, propaganda and product art from the early 20th century and an interest in retro-futuristic art from the mid-20th has led me to create some cool (I think) poster art. I mean, who doesn't want to travel the solar system or join the fight against the villains of 1980s arcade games?"
This particular poster features the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, the bridge that links the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The bridge's construction took a total of fourteen years (1869-1883). Today, it is considered to be a major New York landmark, in addition to being designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964 and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1927.
