About The Poster:  This original print is from a vintage edition of La Presse, a Canadian newspaper. It was founded in 1884, and continues to publish papers six days a week! As La Presse recently went digital, this piece is really quite the find! This particular image is from a drawing by Georges Latour (1877–1946), a Quebec-born artist and illustrator at La Presse from 1910 until his death in 1946. His realist style reflects the traditional training he received at collège des Frères des écoles chrétiennes, a French-language Christian college.

This image was drawn for Montreal's renown Salon de l'Auto (Auto Show), which is now an International ten-day event! According to Wikipedia, "When it was first launched in 1969, the show’s aim was to beef up car sales during a time of the year when business was known to be relatively slow for car dealerships. This event is, after all these years, a much-anticipated annual rite among Montréalers and it is one of the most important events of its type in Canada with an average of more than 200,000 visitors."

Recently matted, this print would look wonderful in any living room, office, or even children's room!
