About The Poster: This original French travel poster advertises Vallon d'Autoire, especially the 'circuits d'automobile' which means the roads paved for cars. This poster was commissioned by the early French railway Chemins de fer de Paris a Orleans (PO) and designed by Constant Duval. He was a French artist who depicted numerous French monuments and sights from 1910 to 1937 for companies seeking to draw attention to the infrastructures (including the French national railway) available in the country. His background as a landscape artist made him one of the more sought-after artists of his time.
This poster was recently linen backed and is in excellent condition.
