About The Poster:

This original print is from a vintage edition of La Presse, a Canadian newspaper. It was founded in 1884, and continues to publish papers six days a week! This particular image was from a drawing by Charles W. Simpson (1878–1942), a Montreal-born artist, illustrator, and  member of the R.C.A. (Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts). He more notable works include illustrations of the Saint Lawrence river for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, his diploma submission 'Indian Summer, Montreal Harbour' which is now in the National Gallery of Canada permanent collection, and commissions for big-name industries.

Recently professionally matted in dark-grey, this print would look wonderful in any living room or office.
