Most of his studies consisted of a strong interest in drawing which led him to give up the job at the Museum and take up drawing lessons. He attended the Académie de la Grand Chaumière and in 1931 he enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. RObert Humblot later began traveling to further improve himself but this was halted by war and Robert Humblot enlisted whereby he operated field telephones.
