About The Poster: This map was created by the Compagnie Generale Tansatlantique (General Transatlantic Company) in collaboration with French colonial government in North Africa. The Compagnie Generale Transatlatinque opened in 1861 and was known overseas as the "French Line". In its present iteration, it is known as "CMA CGM S.A.," the third largest container company in the world. The map shows North Africa in detail, focusing specifically on its developed road network and its bustling ports with regular ferry services to France. This piece is unlined and in great condition.
