About The Poster: Artist Ivan Vavpotič (1877 - 1943) was a painter, illustrator, and production designer from Slovenia. His style is heavily influenced by academic realism, which resonates in the portraits he created. He also produced a large number of veduta (Italian for 'view'), which are highly detailed, usually large-scale paintings of cityscapes or vistas. The first Slovenian postage stamp series (named 'Verigar') to be issued following the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy at the end of World War I was actually designed by Vavpotič!

This poster is a true testament to the artist's style: highly detailed and realistic, this is the type of artwork which can be appreciate both up close and from afar. Will look beautiful when framed!
