The Toulouse-Lautrec Museum in Albi, France held an exhibition in 1971 to honour of American artist Alexander Calder. The artist is a sculptor most known for having invented mobiles, delicately balanced or suspended shapes that move in response to touch or air currents. Many artists made contour line drawings on paper, but Calder was the first to use wire to create three-dimensional line "drawings" of people, animals, and objects. These "linear sculptures" introduced line into sculpture as an element unto itself.

This is a fun, colorful poster that will enliven any room. Unlined and in good condition.
