About the Poster: This original vintage poster was designed to promote a rock band competition for CÉGEP students in 2006. Students in Québec, aged 17-19, attend CÉGEP prior to entering university.
The CÉGEPS Rock competition was founded in 1987 and offers students the opportunity to meet established artists and to share their music with a broad audience. With more than 25,000$ in prizes to be won, the 19th edition of the competition was hosted by Kain - a folk rock band from Drummondville. The winners of the contest are partnered with the host band for a period of 15 months, during which time they receive advice on composition, touring, and performing.
This poster is in very good condition. There is a small hole in the top right corner and a tear in the top left corner - both of which should disappear when framed.
