This cover sheet, dated April 12, 1879 is captioned Maisonneuve: Design of a monumental statue to be erected to the memory of the founder of Montreal in the Place D'Armes. (The statue was built in 1895 by sculptor Louis-Philippe Hébert and remains in place to this day.) Vintage ephemera at it's very best!
