Size: 9 x 11.75 inches
Artist: Wely, J.
When Paul Emile Boutigny began publishing Cocorico in 1898, it was designed as a collection of some of the greatest poetry, prose, and illustration of the time. Alphonse Mucha designed the first cover of the magazine, and the illustration that accompanied the masthead and other illustrations, like this one by Wely, filled each issue.
That illustration, which is signed in the lithographic stone, features a beautifully dressed young woman and her favorite donkey. Rare and highly collectible, we feel this print will look fabulous when framed and would be perfect for a boudoir, bedroom or dressing room. Image measures 9"W x 11.75"H.
