When Paul Emile Boutigny began publishing Cocorico in 1898, it was designed as a collection of some of the greatest poetry, prose, and illustration of the time. Alphonse Mucha designed the first cover of the magazine, and the illustration that accompanied the masthead and other illustrations, like this one by Michaël, filled each issue.
This original illustration, which is signed in the lithographic stone, features a young woman and her favourite dancing bear. Rare and highly collectible, we feel this print will look fabulous when framed and would be perfect in almost any room.
