About The Poster:  A page from the 1927 children's book "Nursery Friends from France", illustrated by Maud & Miska Petersham. On the Petershams, Wikipedia writes: "Maud (1890–1971) and Miska (1888–1960) Petersham were an illustrating husband-and-wife team who are most famous for writing and illustrating The Rooster Crows, a book of American songs, rhymes, and games in the tradition of Mother Goose, which won the 1946 Caldecott Medal. Their first book was called Miki (published 1929) about their son." These plates were printed in offset lithography. The colors are still vibrant and each piece has been matted in a colorful mat to a standard 11 x 14 inches. These wonderful illustrated short stories would look wonderful framed in a child's room.
