1900s Original French Travel Poster, Château Landon
Date: 1900s Size: 29.75 x 41.25 inches Artist: Anonymous
This is an original vintage lithograph travel poster featuring Chateau Landon. Originally a royal residence whose list of visitors include Louis VI, Louis VII, and Philippe Auguste, it would later become a religious site and place of pilgrimage. It was built with a Medieval aesthetic, and sits on a rocky cape which overlooks the river Fusain. It spills from the Loing, which helped form the valley advertized on the poster. Ateliers P. Colas, a Parisian workshop, printed this particular poster. It is linen-backed and in excellent condition.
