About The Poster:  This original print is from a vintage edition of La Presse, a French Canadian newspaper. The paper ran for nearly a century under different owners after it was first started in 1884. As La Presse recently went digital, this piece is really quite the find!

This image is by Albert Uriet and illustrates part of the story of Robinson Crusoe, a book that Wikipedia describes as " Epistolary, confessional, and didactic in form, the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)—a castaway who spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island  near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued."

Recently matted, this print would look wonderful in any living room, bedroom, or even children's room!
