This original print is from a vintage edition of La Presse, a Canadian newspaper. It was founded in 1884, as it recently went digital, this piece is really quite the find! These winter images (the top image is called the North River, described as 'a charming landscape by Maurice Cullen, and the bottom image, by Cornelius Krieghoff is called "The Toll," (evidently because the carriage driver had to pay a toll to use the winter road) are typical of Quebec in times gone by.
Professionally matted in aubergine, this print would look wonderful in any living room or office.
