I occasionally buy posters just because they appeal to my quirky side (the largest side of my personality). And so it was with this one which was evidently designed to get you out and about on your bike. A number of these bicycle banner posters were designed in the 1930s through La Chambre syndicale du cycle et du motocycle whose role was to represent (and promote!) the interests of various bicycle, motorcycle, and moped manufacturing companies.
This one reads "Pour aller vite, partout, à bon marché - la motocyclette," which translates to "To go faster, further, for cheap - the motocycle." In lovely condition, recently linen-backed and ready to be framed. A perfect gift for a cyclist or anyone who likes mid-century art!
