Folies Bergere is a French movie directed by Henri Decoin which has been described as a "grand film of the music-hall with sumptuous ballets and brilliants songs." It tells the story of Bob Wellington (Eddie Constantine), a GI on leave in Paris who falls madly in love with the dancer Claudie (Zizi Jeanmaire) who he then marries. He decides to stay in the capital and to start a career as a singer accompanied by his friend Harry. On return from a tour of the provinces, he suspects his new wife of being the mistress of the impresario Loiselet. Out of spite, he seduces Suzy Morgan, star of the Folies Bergere cabaret music-hall. Thanks to the active friendship of the stage manager Roger, the young couple won’t take long to reconcile and together they find consecration.
