About The Poster: A simple and stunning poster for the Graphic Guild, a Montreal gallery established in 1966 by Richard Lacroix. Its purpose was to publish and distribute the prints of Canadian printmakers.
The Graphic Guild was an ardent promoter of engravings for 50 years, specializing in sales and publication of original limited or unique editions of engravings and prints, like this one. Over the course of the life of the gallery the Guild exhibited the work of hundreds of artists such as Luc Nadeau, Norman McLaren and Alfred Pellan.
Poster, on card stock, is stained on bottom corners and a few small surface tears on margins (see images). Vibrant colours, overall B condition.
