Operations ceased in 1970 and the building was later purchased by Fragonard perfume. The Theatre-Musée des Capucines opened in 1993 and showcases 3000 years of perfume making history. The artist, Moise Depond, also known as Mose, was a French humourist and illustrator. His work appeared in publications such as Bonjour Dimanche and Le Rire and he was a regular contributor to television cartoon programs and cabaret stage designs.
