About The Poster: This lithographic poster advertises an event which took place at Centre Culturel International (the International Cultural Center). Designed by the University of Geneva, it features a drawing by Pablo Picasso created on August 24, 1967 for the school using coloured inks. Over the course of his career, Picasso has been associated to a number of artistic movements - including symbolism, cubism, and surrealism. His drawing here expresses a lightness and energy that distinguishes it from his painted works, known for its thicker lines and larger washes of colour.
