About the poster: The Lille Trade Fair is an annual event that ceased to exist in 2000. After a first event in 1902 on the Champ de Mars, the Lille fair, recreated in 1925 on the Boulevard des Écoles (Boulevard Jean-Baptiste-Lebas) with 160 exhibitors, moved in 1927 to the Champ de Mars and then, from 1932, to the land of the old fortifications between the old Porte Louis XIV and the access roads to the Saint-Sauveur station (currently on the edge of the Avenue du Président-Hoover), granted by the city in 1931 for a period of 65 years offering an annual flat-rate fee.
