This poster is an advertisement for Carlsberg lager, a Danish beer. The literal translation of the caption "Alle Kan Traenge Til en Hof" is "Everybody can use a beer" - and this series of ads shows a variety of humorous situations and locations where people can enjoy an ice-cold Carlsberg. Here, it appears that a member of the Queen's guard is so eager to get a beer that he has left his station, and his bayonet!
We love this advertisement, and even if it's an 1980s poster, we definitely get a 1930s Art Deco feel from its clean, sleek advertising. Unlined with pinholes in all four corners, it would look great framed in a man cave, living room... anywhere a little humour is needed!
