Size: 18 x 25.5 inches
Artist: Aimé Maeght
As founder of the Galerie Maeght in Paris and Barcelona and the Fondation Maeght near Nice, Aimé Maeght was art dealer, collector, publisher and lithographer all in one. A true artistic renaissance man, his first encounter with the world of the art business was when Pierre Bonnard had him print a lithograph in Maeght's Cannes shop in 1930. Although known as a major art dealer by 1945, it is said that most of Aimé Maeght's success must be attributed to his wife, Marguerite.
"Aimé Maeght et les siens" was an exhibition of Maeght's personal collection, held at the Musée des beaux-arts de Nîmes. This unlined poster is in excellent condition, and with its bold colours and captivating and playful graphics, it is suited best for a kid's room or a living space.
