About The Poster: The art or practice of taking and processing photographs is the current interpretation of an ancient art form.
The history of photography began in remote antiquity with the discovery of two critical principles: camera obscure image projection and the observation that some substances are visibly altered by exposure to light. Around 1800 Thomas Wedgwood made the first reliably documented, although unsuccessful attempt at capturing camera images in permanent form. Since that time, photography has continued to develop as an art form that not only provides a mirror to culture, society and politics, but also a form of expression that is both permanent and important.
