About The Poster: A poster for a group show that celebrated the work of artists like Eva Brandl, Tony Brown, Raymond Gervais, Claude Mongrain, David Tomas, Claude Tousignant, and Irene Whittome. Many of the artists, like Mongrain and Brandl, created assemblages in a variety of forms and materials - aluminium, zinc and wood for example.
Fun fact: Geneviève Cadieux, one of the participating artists in the Naturae exhibition, created a photographic work called "La Voie lactée"(a closeup photograph of a pair of lips) which was installed on the roof of the Museum when it opened in its new space in 1992. It can be seen from quite a distance and is has become a Montreal landmark.
Great color and verve - we think it would be a wonderful addition to any room which needed a pick-me-up!
