Signed Antoni (for the Danish artist Ib Antoni 1929-1973), this poster is from an advertising campaign he illustrated for a Food Festival presented at the Bella Centret from October 18th to 27th, 1968. The museum, located is Copenhagen, is recognized as Scandinavia's second largest exhibition and conference center.
Ib Antoni (1929-1973) was a well-known cartoonist, designer, and poster artist not only in Denmark but also abroad, where he illustrated for Times and Life Magazine in the USA. He created approximately 300 posters in the twenty years of his career. He was commissioned by a wide range of clients such as FDB, Politiken, Carlsberg, Dyrup, Volvo, Danish Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, UNICEF and others. His posters for the Expo reflect his playful, "Naive" style, for which he is known and appreciated. His work can be found in collections worldwide, including that of the Danish Museum.
