About the Poster: Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in Kent, England. Originally used as a motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix.
The Brands Hatch 1000 km was an endurance sports car event that w as part of the World Sportscar Championship for crying years from 1967 until 1989. Originally a six-hour race, the event was eventually extended to 1000 kilometers under a number of different sponsorship titles.
In 1982, th year this poster was issued, the race was won by Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell of the Rothmans Porsche team, in a Porchse 956.
