About The Poster: This poster is advertising forage, which (for those of you whose farm knowledge is as limited as ours) is agricultural foodstuff for grazing cattle and livestock. More specifically, this brand is for molasses-enriched forage, a technique that was developed to produce fatter meat and dairy (we can tell from this posters that animals enjoyed it too!) During WWII, a drop in regular forage (oat, straw and grass) led to an increase in the proportion of molasses being used to feed animals, especially war horses. The poster is linenbacked and is in very good condition.
