About The Poster: An exhibition poster created by the Galerie R. G. Michel in Paris for a show of works by Toulouse-Lautrec. The poster was recently restored, linen-backed and is very good condition. This poster is part of a rare special edition on Arches paper with 2 Mourlot monograms.
Lautrec was a colorful, tiny little man who had an enormous impact on the world of painting, posters and art. His unique viewpoint documented the demi-mondaines of Montmartre, the cabaret life of the Moulin Rouge, and society, both high and low. Some of his posters fetch upwards of $100,000 (or more) at auction.
