In 1936 Philippe Kreiss (Brasseries de la Meuse) founded Vivor, an orange soda company known for introducing fruit juices to the French market. This poster is advertizing a bubbly variant of their popular product, with a mischievous young boy as the poster child! He is just too cute - and his bright colors pop right off the page!
I first saw this poster when a client brought him into the shop to be framed and I fell in love with him then. On a recent buying trip to France and Italy I found one for myself and brought him back... and now he graces the walls of the gallery, reminding me of the South of France. This striking poster measures 47 x 63 inches, is mounted on linen, and in good shape with minor water damage to the bottom margin.
