About The Artist: Munetsugu Satomi ( 1904 – 1996) was a highly accredited and revered Japanese graphic designer. His family immigrated to France in 1922 where he enrolled in the Ecole des Beaux Arts. In the late 1920’s he began his career in the world of advertising design and developed a strong style reflective of the art deco influence of A.M. Cassandre and other poster luminaries if that period. Over the span of his graphic design career he is credited with creating over 10,000 images winning countless design awards during his career.
