René Gruau (1909 - 2004) was a Italian-French artist whose distinctive style greatly impacted haute couture, theatre, art, and commercial design. His art shaped various iconic magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Femina, Marie Claire, L'Officiel, L'Album du Figaro, and the Moulin Rouge. His style embodies the epitome of sophistication, grace, sensuality, and elegance. Today Gruau’s works are collected and exhibited by several fine art institutions including the Louvre.

This poster feature an image originally created in 1953 as an hommage to French actress Musidora (Jeanne Roques), a slient film star known for her portrayal of Irma Vep in Louis Feuillade's crime serial Les Vampires (1915–1916). It is in excellent condition. See photos for more details.
