About the poster: The 1907 "Internationales Sommerfest" original poster is a classic piece of early 20th-century lithographic art. The swank early-summer international festival was held in Munich's Maximilianplatz, under the patronage of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria (Prince Ludwig of Bayern). The event blended floral/garden displays and minstrel-style entertainment to kick off the warm season. A portion of the proceeds benefited the Red Cross, subtly referenced by a red cross symbol on the left side of the composition.
This poster is in good condition, Linen-backed, with some creases and pinholes in the corners. Ready to be framed.
