Montreal's L'Affichiste collection includes vintage posters from some of the best artists and printers of the last 100 years. Some of my favourites can be found in this section of the site: I am particularly attached to the Boxeur and Fencer (Escrimeur) from 1890. Printed by Sagot they are just so fierce in their determination that I couldn't resist them - i say I bought them out of pity: they don't look like they won a match between them and I think that men who try that hard should be rewarded! Also some wild and wacky prints (check out Damarre Parisiana), a wonderful (and wonderfully rare) Cheret calendar, some Art Deco gems and other great posters. It's hard to play favourites when you love everything you sell!
