About The Maxim Honi soit qui mal y pense: is a maxim in the Anglo-Norman language, a dialect of Old Norman French spoken by the medieval ruling class in England, meaning "shamed be whoever thinks ill of it", usually translated as "shame on anyone who thinks evil of it".
About Graphus: Graphus was a collective of graphic artists, working together between 1970 and 1991, which sought to combine excellence of design with a social conscience.
The poster was created by Graphus in 1984 by the Quebec government for an exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum in Montreal. Poster has pinholes in the corners and an attached piece which moves (please see photos). Rare and ready to frame.
