Date: 1940s
Size:  15.25 x 23.5 inches
Artist: Charles Lemmel

About the Poster: In 1936 Philippe Kreiss (Brasseries de la Meuse) founded Vivor, an orange soda company known for introducing fruit juices to the French market. This French World War II poster has so much going on: soldiers, a patriotic server who has the Croix de Lorraine on the lapel and red, white and blue ribbons in her hair ... you'd have to be downright unpatriotic not to drink Vivor!

During the Art Deco period Charles Lemmel created a variety of posters for consumer products, most specifically for Kina Lillet. This poster is one of the only I have seen by Lemmel for a product other than Lillet.

This striking poster measures 15.25 x 23.5 inches, is mounted on linen, and in very good condition. Ready to frame. Rare.
