This poster is an advertisement for Carlsberg lager, a Danish beer. The literal translation of the caption "Alle Kan Traenge Til en Hof" is "Everybody can need a beer" - and this series of ads shows just how far people are willing to go to enjoy their favourite beer... including this man who's holding television antenna in one hand and reaching for a glass of Carlsberg with the other!
We love this advertisement, and even if it's an 1980s poster, we definitely get a 1930s Art Deco feel from its clean, sleek advertising. Unlined with pinholes and a small black mark in the lower left corner, it would look great framed in a man cave, living room... anywhere a little humour is needed!
