About the poster: The Organising Committee for the Barcelona Olympic Games launched an ambitious project that included 58 posters, divided into four distinct series: official Olympic posters, painters’ posters, designers’ posters, and photographic sports posters.
1992 was the last time both the Summer and Winter Olympic games took place in the same year - the Olympic committee having chosen to proceed with alternating years in the future. Some highlights from these games included a recently unified German team, the entry of South Africa, the decision to admit players from the NBA, and the introduction of taekwondo.
